The band of one of the world's best guitarists plays after seven years at our festival again. Mike Stern featuring high-profile players Bob Franceschini, Chris Minh Doky and Keith Carlock.

The legendary Slovak bass player Juraja Griglák released a new album “Time to Fly” with well known american musicians Poogie Bell , Chris Hemingway a Bobby Sparks. On the tour Sparks is substituted by virtuoso Slovak piano player Eugen Vizvary.

Marcus Miller is an American jazz composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist, best known as a bass guitarist. He has worked with trumpeter Miles Davis, pianist Herbie Hancock, singer Luther Vandross, and saxophonist Davis Sanborn. He has won numerous Grammy Awards as a producer, a composer, and solo musician.

With credits that include work with artists such as, Prince, Dave Stewart of Eurythmics fame, Glee and most recently, special guest appearances on American Idol, bassist, singer and songwriter Nik West is anything more than just another pretty face.

“The human voice is so powerful,” says Cory Henry. “When I’m singing, it’s like this extra way of connecting and communicating with people beyond what I can do just playing the organ. I’m able to convey these messages that are really important and meaningful to me through my words. Being front and center like this every night, it’s a challenge, but I’m up for it.”

Kurt Elling, today's finest male jazz vocalist, reinterprets Weather Report, with an emphasis on Wayne Shorter's compositions, in this special collaborative project with California legends Yellowjackets. Weather Report were the quintessential modern jazz band of the '70s and '80s - which is why we're thrilled to experience this exclusive project at the 50th edition of the Bratislava Jazz Days Slovenská sporiteľňa.
