The slovakian trombonist Michal Motýľ is not only an internatially well known, technically perfect bass trombone player, but also a talented composer and arranger.

Andreas Varady is the gipsy guitar player wunderkind. At the age of fourteen he was contracted by Quincy Jones to his management company, and later supported his hero George Benson in Europe and America. His family trio would be supported by legendary Slovak sax player Radovan Tariška.

Drahoslav Bango is a pianist, composer and producer. Last year he won the Young Talent Stage organized by our festival. As the winner, he was given the opportunity to open this year's Bratislava Jazz Days at the main stage of Slovenská sporiteľňa. He is currently working on his debut album Drahoslav Bango & Friends, which will feature his own compositions, enriched with elements of classical music, jazz and Latin-American music.

The set-up of three experienced musicians (Palúch, Comendant and Ragan) has existed since 2004. The music they make is based on interfacing of jazz and folkore music (Slovak and Moldavian), coloured by elements of jazz music. The repertoire of the trio includes arrangements of jazz standards and their original compositions.

La3no Cubano is a Slovakian latin-fusion band, playing an energic amalgamation of african, arabian, balkan, gipsy, latin and funk music.

The Gajlík-Hodek-Oravec-Ragan Group is a modernist jazz quartet, founded by the four most talented young Slovak players. 

Slovak Nuevo Quinteto are five well-known Slovak artists who have decided to dedicate themselves to the works of the master who in his compositions combined the world of tango with classical music in an original way. They debuted at the BHS in 2021 on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Astor Piazzolla's birth. The instrumentation is a combination of several Piazzolla ensembles. The musicians decided to replace the guitar, found in his last concert quintet, with percussion and percussion.

Last year's winner of our young talent's stage competition will open the festival on the main stage this year. Composer and keyboard player Tibor Feledi presents original compositions inspired by the tradition of Slovak children's songs in an unconventional connection with contemporary progressive jazz. His Kairos Quintet combines groove and jazz elements with influences of electronics, classical music, free improvisation, fusion or post-bop.

Bloom is the band of singer Barbora Drahovská and guitar player Lukáš Kyška, formed after the split of the rock band Soundrise. Bloom has a clean and beautiful acoustic sound, with own repertoire under the flag of modern songwriting.

On the festival the duo would be spiced up with bass and drum player, promoting their new sound.

GrooveHub is a young Slovak trio, winner of last years Stage of young talents at our festival. They mix jazz, funk and latino with a drive of a rock band. They are inspired by Hiromi, Mezzoforte and Marcus Miller.
