Bratislava Hot Serenaders is a unique orchestra led by trumpeter Juraj Bartoš, which has specialised in hot jazz music from the 1920s and 1930s since 1991. The orchestra is among the world's best in authentic interpretations of jazz music from this period.
The orchestra consists of fifteen musicians, the female vocal trio Serenaders Sisters and singer (stylistically called a ‘crooner’) Miloš Stančík. The orchestra plays on authentic instruments from the 1920s and performs in tailor-made tuxedos and dresses from this elegant period.
The orchestra has fourteen albums, five of which are on vinyl LP. They have won a gold and platinum record, a Radio_Head Award and the Esprit audience award. BHS has performed in England, Scotland, Germany, Denmark, Russia, the Netherlands and many other countries.
